July 8th - Jpod & Humpbacks all day!

This morning we encountered Humpbacks & Jpod :) Our first encounter was with several Humpbacks including "Big Mama" & Calf south of Race Rocks. "Big Mama" was lunge feeding & her Calf was goofing around! We then watched several other Humpbacks also Lunge Feeding. Next we headed over towards Race Rocks and encountered Jpod in the tidal rip just south of the rocks. It was great to see our beloved Jpod again, who have been missing for large chunks of the season so far due to a lack of Salmon. It was a wonderful adventure this morning :)
In the afternoon we encountered Jpod off Victoria waterfront and the Humpbacks off Port Angeles :)
