Today we encountered Transient Orcas, the T18's! This group consists of T18 a female estimated to have been born in 1974, T19 a female estimated to have been born in 1969 and her 2 sons T19B (born in 1995) and T19C (born in 2001). T19B has one of the most distinctive dorsal fins seen on a male Transient Orca as it leans significantly to the left and is also very curved. We watched the Orcas hunt along the shore line of Coal Island and then head towards Moresby Island. During our encounter we were the only boat on scene as the boats that had been on scene departed as we arrived and we left as the next boat arrived. It was nice to have our own personal Orca show :) Apart from the Orcas we also got to see some very nervous Harbor Seals and also Harbor Porpoise and a couple of Bald Eagles!
