Today we encountered a Humpback Whale in Haro! The Humpback was identified as BCY0160 a whale we have seen often in the Salish Sea. We got to see a number of tail flukes and it was seeing the underside of the tail fluke that allowed us to identify the Humpback. Each Humpback's tail fluke colouring on the underside is as unique as a thumb or finger print. The Whale looked like it was feeding in the rip current at Kellet Bluff Apart from the Humpback we also encountered several Sea Lions at Kelp Reef, an Eagle as well, plus Harbor Seals & more Eagles at the Chain Islets.
